I have a plethora of Exakta mount lenses - and have had a trying time with adapters.  I usually buy an adapter per lens (for those I use regularly), but the Fotasy on Amazon isn't consistent (out of five, one is fairly tight - but often disengages the retention pin, the other four are paperweights).

I have many Jena (Zeiss) lenses but the most troublesome one is the pancolar 50mm/2 (the auto, that looks like the millennium falcon - often referred to as the Star Wars due to the auto thingy hanging out the side) - picture attached from eBay.  I have several - and use them on the TL2 and SL - but the focus is usually tight and thereby often wiggles the lens out of the retention pin.  I have other lenses in eXakta - but this one (in particular) is a problem child.  I have several topcors as well, some with the two pins.

What experience have you had with other adapters.  There is a thirty dollar one (looks pretty similar) and then there are the blue/black ones on eBay (for the two pin or Real), for double that, then we get into the ridiculous priced ones.

Just need reliable (holds the lens) - really do not care if its not mounted perfectly - just want it to stay in place.

I am quite happy with a Newyi Exakta to LM. For LM I then have a Helicoid adapter, which extends the close-up distance and makes fine focus easier with old lenses.

did a quick search on it - being I'm in the US, and its not listed anywhere, but there is the AI summary at the top raving about it.  Know of anyplace I can buy it.

I did find the helicoid on Aliexpress, but no Exakta to L adapter.

I'm sure that there are plenty of Exacta to M mount adapters available. Combine with an M to L adapter.
