_Alex_ Posted July 2 Share #1 Posted July 2 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, everyone. I don't want to raise the dreaded firmware debate again, but I have a question: Does your M-10P occasionally corrupt the last frame on the roll when you shut off the camera? On my M-10P (purchased new in 2018, running lates FW version 4.22.23.34), the camera will occasionally take an extended period to turn off--red light stays on for approximately 30 sec to 1 minute. When I turn the camera back on, the last image on the camera roll is unreadable and will only display the frame number/filename. The file is also corrupt when attempting to view through Lightroom. This doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't matter if the last shot was taken well before the camera is turned off or immediately before the camera is turned off. It also doesn't matter if it's the last frame reviewed on the LCD. Edit: This is a fairly recent phenomenon--last year or so, and yes, I've reset all camera settings to default. I never had any issues with the camera previously. Thanks, -Alex. Edited July 2 by _Alex_ added text.

maxpower Posted July 2 Share #2 Posted July 2 I haven't noticed this myself, just to confirm because you didn't mention: Have you tried other SD cards and/or the SD card formatter tool? Wonder if it's an issue with the card

Wonder if it's an issue with the card Yeah, I've done that. I'll have to try it again with a completely new/different SD card. For now, I've been snapping a few throw-away frames before I turn the camera off.
AceVentura1986 Posted July 8 Share #5 Posted July 8 (edited) Not my experience at al, although mine does occasionally flash red for an extended period when I turn it off. Wholly unpredictable. You could, of course, just take one dummy shot before turning the camera off as a workaround. Edited July 8 by AceVentura1986
