reemas Posted June 21 Share #1 Posted June 21 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve noticed that RAW file imports in LR (mobile/cloud version) show skin tones as grey and flat, and it takes some tinkering to get them to look human like again. C1 seems to do a great job with the RAW file starting point to replicate truer skin tones. Am I missing something or is this a known thing? I really like LR for its interface and cloud library storage (I do keep local copies as well). But the skin color issue is harder for me to solve as I know little about color grading and am really just a passionate hobbyist. Anyone have advice or thoughts on how to approach this? Appreciate the tips and guidance in advance!
Advertisement Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Hi reemas, Take a look here RAW colors - LR vs C1 for Q3 43. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted June 21 Share #2 Posted June 21 You could produce your own profile using a Pantone ColorChecker. See a website instructional video on the process. You can then personalise it to your taste for skin tones and save that for future use. There is a learning process but the end result is worthwhile.
jaapv Posted June 21 Share #3 Posted June 21 Tweak your raw conversion defaults (profile) This is not the camera, nor the raw file (it is not an image file and has no set colours) but just the user- adjustable settings of your postprocessing software.
