Musotographer Posted June 21 Share #1  Posted June 21 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi  - I am doing some theatre photography and my 180/3.4 doesn't quite have the reach I need. I don't want to buy another tele lens so one of the two Apo extenders seems a good solution. The 2.0x extender seems to be listed as definitely working with this lens, but I don't seem able to find a definite yes or no about the 1.4x, which is the one I'd prefer. (Better IQ and cheaper.) Does anyone have any definite experience of this please?
Advertisement Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Hi Musotographer, Take a look here 1.4 Apo R extender with 180/3.4 R?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jankap Posted June 21 Share #2  Posted June 21 (edited) At the top of this window, you find Leica wiki. The 1.4 extender has a part, that enters the lens. So it cannot be used with the short focal lengths. According to this link, they are not compatible. jankap Posted Thursday at 05:36 PM Share #4  Posted Thursday at 05:36 PM Cropping would be a solution too.🫠
