Advertisement Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Hi kkochheiser, Take a look here So many stars.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted June 13 Share #2 Posted June 13 Nice first attempt! In fact bloody good. For my taste, I would crop some of the dark foreground to drive emphasis up to the stars. Just my opinion. Great pic anyway.

Aram Langhans Posted June 29 Share #7 Posted June 29 Advertisement (gone after registration) Excellent for any attempt let alone your first. Excellent location for such a shot. What lens were you using? I ask because it is remarkably how sharp the stars are in the corners - no visible coma. Might be the lens I am searching for. I can't wait to see your second attempt.
kkochheiser Posted June 29 Author Share #8 Posted June 29 Thank you Adam! This was a Leica Store Miami workshop and I can't say enough about how great the experience was. Lots of useful tips and tricks for a specialized area of photography. The lens is the Sigma 14mm f/1.4. It's a beast with a very useful Arca tripod foot, which it needs. Of the 9 of us in the workshop at least 5 had this lens. Thanks again! Kent
