MikeZ Posted Sunday at 12:32 PM Share #41 Posted Sunday at 12:32 PM Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been using Lexar and Sandisk without any issue. It might be worth trying a memory card from a different manufacturer.

I’m using sl3. No reply from Leica thus far as of 3.11.2025. I am not holding my breath. Both cameras SL3 and the SL3S are functioning without fail, no plan to replace OWC cards. OP, how about Sandisk Extreme Pro cards? Mine are fine. I have just try following: replacing OWC 512GB card with a SanDisk Professional Pro 64GB (the highest capacity that I have) popping battery out for a moment (whilst camera power is off) inserting battery in and switching camera on I can see tiny of a fraction of a second same message ‘No memory card, Please insert memory card’ message. So, this indicates to me that it is not OWC card generating this message, but something else. It would be interesting to see if the SanDisk Professional Pro 512GB would generate same message for longer relatively speaking moment.

Shouldn’t they at least provide an answer about whether there’s an issue or not?
LocalHero1953 Posted 23 hours ago Share #45 Posted 23 hours ago I have recently switched from SL2-S to SL3-S, but have not noticed this issue. I am using a Sandisk Extreme Pro V90 256Gb SD card and Delkin Black and Delkin Green 1 Tb CFe cards.

Maybe you did this, but empty both slots and then insert one at a time with Sandisk, perhaps. Turn on camera after each insert to see how it works. Not clear have you contacted Leica about this issue and if yes, what was their suggestion?

Yes, they should provide an answer as it is not only myself who observed this issue, but other uses of SL3 and SL3-S as well. I guess users charging batteries via USB slot do not see it as I have not seen it prior charging batteries in Leica dual slot external battery charger as in this case there is no need to remove battery out of the camera body. As I have stated before any subsequent switching camera on and off does not generate this issue and camera functions without problems. Firmware is 3.1.1.
