tony740607 Posted June 7 Share #1 Â Posted June 7 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received my 35mm steel rim (it is a demo lens) from a Leica dealer. During the inspection of the lens I see that there is some "dirt/dust/smudge" on the inside of the optics. I first thought it was on the rear glass but it is actually on the inside so not possible to clean it. I have attached two pictures. Could this be an issue during photography and something that is visible on the pictures itself. Of course I will try this but my new Leica M6 does not arrive until Monday and then it is a analog so I will not get instant feedback. I have of course sent a mail to the dealer already but have not got a response yet.

jankap Posted June 7 Share #6 Â Posted June 7 (edited) I think, that you will not notice it on your photos. Take a photo at the closest possible distance and against the light. It is otherwise clear, that the dealer has to sell the lens. Edited June 7 by jankap
Vanillasludge Posted June 7 Share #7  Posted June 7 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe bang the lens against a rock to see if you can dislodge it.😂 It won’t affect the performance, but it will affect your resale value, so if that’s even in the plans I’d get it handled.
