jlnevill Posted May 31 Share #1 Posted May 31 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Just done a 1200 mile motorcycle trip in Ireland, day 3 slipped on a rock with Q3 in hand, did a forward somersault, landed in a rock pool (feet in the air) and dinged the rear screen. Fortunately, the screen protector and my hand took the impact but it left a scratch on the side and a bloody hand. Oh well, it's now battle tested! Welcome, dear visitor! pedaes Posted May 31 Share #2 Posted May 31 Sorry to hear and hope hand is fully recovered. Just see the little graze as a reminder of what sounds a fantastic trip.

SnapshotGR Posted June 1 Share #4 Posted June 1 I wouldn't worry about it too much, the paint on the edge of the rear screen is so flimsy it chips off in normal use. You just have a head start.

You just have a head start. The frame is also wafer thin, as there's a slight crease under the paint. I decided to smooth it out with 1200 wet&dry, used a sharpie to colour it in and added a narrow strip of protective film on screen edges, just to help reduce any future scuffs. tom0511 Posted June 1 Share #6 Posted June 1 Its a much more lucky camera than those which are only staying in bags or at home to keep them without any scratches. Also you dont have to think about switching the camera, because you wont get a good price anyways. So now you can just use and enjoy it without any fear
