A group break with a few Morgan driving friends, arriving Tuesday 10th, departing Sunday 15th.

Aiming to see/photograph a few lighthouses and an occasional castle (or other NT for Scotland property).plus whatever else takes our fancy.

I am the sole Leica user in the group.

Just on the off-chance that you are not already familiar with the place, Graham, there is a small but rather interesting Lighthouse Museum in the town of Arbroath a dozen miles or so south of Montrose;

We were there a few years ago (a very dear friend lives in Auchmithie just up the coast) and the visit was highly enjoyable.

Have a great time and if you like smoked haddock you couldn't choose to visit a more apt town!

Thanks Philip.  I had spotted that - it's on my list, together with a run up to Fraserburgh to the Museum of Scottish Lights.

I misread the title. I was thinking "how many lighthouses in Montreux?"

The V&A in Dundee is worth a look and there are some fantastic coastal castles up there. 

The east coast makes a really interesting change from the much, much busier west coast.

Not necessary - I'll be in the MINI. The people are the most important thing.  Sadly our Oz brother is not able to come across this year but one who lives in France will be in attendance (with his other half).

If you are desperate for one though, my Morgan is for sale down at the Kent dealer, market is very slow.

Great trip.  Didn't take nearly enough photos, though some film is still in cameras.

MINI proved itself to be a token Morgan - leaked into boot in heavy rain!
