It should go without saying that the main difference between a failed Leica charger and a failed Samsung/Apple charger is that the Leica charger is worth fixing. The underlying faults are similar, and they happen to companies big and small.

If I can buy a replacement cheaply, it is not worth to repair it. If I cannot even buy a replacement, I would try to repair it by all means.

Have you disassembled a failed charger? You know it is "burnt" rather than a faulty component or solder joint?

Do you have any useful insight infos? Most people here would like to hear it.

Leica S3 batteries are draining (phantom draw) while camera is off.  Batteries have been 'reset' as described above in this thread.  Takes about a week to fully draw down a battery while left in camera. Outside of camera, will lose only about 0 -1 bar.  Anyone experience the same thing? No issue at all with same battery in 007.

The top display shows that the battery is full but after using the S3 for a longer time in LV mode the camera gave me a notification that the battery is almost empty and needs to be recharged, but why the display still shows full bar?

Anyone else has experienced this?

Yes. Happened to me earlier this week. On the camera top display, 75% full but then warning on the back screen that I need to change the battery. I ignored the warning. After a few more shots, camera dead (it worked with the second battery). I charged the battery but have not yet inserted it again.
