jcraf Posted May 17 Share #1 Posted May 17 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just gone through painful day of upgrading my old iMac to a new one. I'd sooner have pulled my own finger nails out as the old one kept crashing. I hate IT. I am now going through the pain of reconstructing my bookmarks as I couldn't use migration assistant or Time Machine as my old machine was so sick. Anyhow< the latest frustration is that having logged in, and being a sponsoring member, I'm now getting infuriating ads which I didn't see before. Any ideas for someone who loathes IT and the technical aspects. I've just thrown my old iMac out of an upstairs window, which was cathartic.

Siriusone59 Posted May 17 Share #3 Posted May 17 At the risk of jinxing myself I must say that I've yet to see any ads from this site. I'm using a MacBook running safari and the only thing that may be helping stop ads is an old install of a program called ghostery which is several years old. I don't know if it is what is preventing the ads but I don't see any. I'm running a m1 MacBook and I'm not a sponsoring member. Hope this helps.
