antonioxrosa Posted May 12 Share #1 Posted May 12 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received my Leica M-A and I am looking for a thin leather half case that do not destroy the leica visual. I also have a M11M and I bought an half case too, but I end up not using it just because the bottom is so thick that the camera, in my view, became too bulky. As for the M-A I will need to take the entire case to load the film I do not need that thickness to accommodate any type of door. So I assume it would be possible to have a thin bottom. This camera do not need protection against falls, only screeches and finger prints. Anyone knows a brand that do what I am looking for?. The brands I know seem to have the same bottom thickness in all cases.

kivis Posted May 13 Share #2 Posted May 13 Try eBay. They seem to always have a large selection, but beware of the cheapo's as they are usually made of plastic. Good Luck.
antonioxrosa Posted May 16 Author Share #3 Posted May 16 Hi finally decided for the Luigi leather half case. I select the standard model but their were available to taller it with a thinner bottom. I was in way advised not to do it as the case will lose some consistency.

I have dealt with Luigi for many years, you won't be disappointed.
Photon42 Posted May 17 Share #5 Posted May 17 I had a Luigi case about 15 years ago. Case was fitting great and was robust, but I would not have described it as "thin". Maybe things changed meanwhile.
LocalHero1953 Posted May 17 Share #6 Posted May 17 I agree - I like my cases from Luigi (5), but they are not what I'd call thin. My M240 had one from Artisan & Artist (IIRC) which was thinner.
