Tarekith Posted May 9 Share #3 Posted May 9 Update went fine via Fotos app for my Q43. Soooooo glad to have the new toggle focus point shortcut, been wanting that since I got my camera. Double tap the screen to do the same was always hit or miss for me.

davidnvh Posted May 9 Share #5 Posted May 9 I just updated mine via Leica Photos. I'm most curious about the new menu section, AF Settings - can't find it on mine. Has anybody tried it?
Barralad Posted May 9 Share #6 Posted May 9 I’m in the same boat. Updated but no sign of any new ‘AF Settings’?

I just found out that it also switch back and forth between your last af point and center, making it super useful for focusing on moving subjects

Barralad Posted May 9 Share #12 Posted May 9 18 minutes ago, batian said: Only for video... Ah, I see. Or rather I don’t, as I never use video. I would have much preferred it if the update had provided a way of disabling the video mode (it doesn’t happen all the time, but those occasions when I inadvertently switch from photo to video are infuriating).

safesurfer Posted May 9 Share #14 Posted May 9 Updated before 10 Minutes. I love the option to put the "toggle AF-Position" to a FN button. Double-clicking on the screen didn't work good for me.
Jerry824li Posted May 9 Share #15 Posted May 9 No one talked about the battery icon messed up since firmware 3.0? not sure if this is expected. I thought they fixed it in 3.1.1..
LeicaGuyUK Posted May 9 Share #16 Posted May 9 Applied to my Q3 28 via a download to SD card (i`m old fashioned and trust physical more than wireless)... All working well, love the new focus toggle feature!
Bob Petrow Posted May 9 Share #17 Posted May 9 I updated my Q3 to Firmware 3.1.1 and cannot find a new "AF Settings" under the "Focusing" section. Is there an issue with this update or am I looking in the wrong place for the "AF Settings" update to the location of "AF Speed" and "AF Sensitivity"? Fortemd Posted May 9 Share #18 Posted May 9 I just attempted the 3.1.1 update via the Leica Fotos App. Now dealing with a black screen. Followed the instructions on the camera, turned the camera off then back on as instructed. I've removed and replaced the battery, replaced the SD card with new firmware installed on the root directory, turned on and off the camera several times. I've tried with each of my three batteries. I've placed one of the batteries into the charger and try again in an hour or two. I've not used the Q3 for several weeks, so it is possible that all three of my batteries are empty, but, sadly, this is wishful thinking. This is unsettling. Le Chef Posted May 9 Share #19 Posted May 9 14 minutes ago, Fortemd said: I just attempted the 3.1.1 update via the Leica Fotos App Try by downloading the update to your computer. Copy to a card formatted in your camera. Install card in camera. Then go to camera information. It should say 3.0. Click on that and say yes to update. If you have profiles say yes when it asks you if you want to save them. Install.
