subtle, sweet.  Your latest thoughts on the BF?

Thanks a lot Stuart. Up to now the camera is perfect for portraits, fast AF, easy handling. Also the monochrom photos as jpegs are very nice.  But the lifetime of the battery is a joke, for a day trip you should use 3 batteries. And up to now I still have to try it under bright light conditions. But I have to admit that for portraits, my M10-R as a back up camera remained idle

Do you use flash much in your work? Will the BF limit you because it has no hotshoe?
I use continuous light for some portraits, but I'm not ready to switch completely away from flash.

No I do not use flash very often. Sometimes I use a flash for film photography or continuous light like you.  And if I really need a flash I could use the SF-24-D on my M10-R. But as I mentioned before, I use the flash very rarely.

I guess the whole point of this camera is that it is light and suitable for flexible shooting scenarios, while still taking full frame images of the highest quality. There's actually no point in kitting it out with extra bits and pieces - you might as well use a more connected camera like a M or SL.

Your portraits with it, and your comments on its usability, are tempting me!

You nailed it Paul! It is a very small camera with compact lenses which are a joy to use. The quality of the photos is really amazing. The camera feels very good in your hands and after one hour you also know how to use it without any problems. In fact it is rather simple. But for your it is not the one and only camera.
