It's funny, but I'm sure that if Leica made monochrome badges on the standard versions and red ones on the special versions, most people would prefer the red ones😜

I purchased some black dots from dagcamera.com. That was many years ago. I’m not sure they sell them anymore. I now only have one left. But they work perfectly on M cameras. They were inexpensive!

If you change the red dot to black because you like the colour then I understand. If you change the dot thinking your camera is now safer from thieves then is utterly ridiculous. It's as daft as covering your expensive car's badge thinking nobody will know what it is. Believe me, thieves who specifically target premium cameras know full well of this and know full well what a badged or unbadged Leica looks like.
