It's like new, fully boxed with all accessories and has been faultless. I was so happy that I got an £8000 camera for £5000! So, out of interest I checked the trade in value yesterday and it's £2400. I've gone from having an £8000 camera to a £2400 camera in one day 😀 As long as you do not sell your m11 you have a 8k Kamera! Congratulations and enjoy the shooting with it.

Suppose they’re just trying their hand at that price. Can’t see many people selling an m11 for anywhere near that. Clearly they had some takers otherwise they wouldn’t have had any stock! I would never support MPB - truly ridiculous trade in prices and in many cases sell at almost new prices. Not sure why any photographers would use them, they seem a bit ‘ticketmaster’ to me. FWIW I do think the camera is actually worth somewhere between 2k and 5k and absolutely nowhere near justifiable at 8k+ Edited May 4 by Velo-city

They’re hit and miss depending on what you’re doing, you’ve just got to be selective on what you’re comfortable with. I think them offering £2.5k for an m11 is basically, they do not want any. costa43 Posted May 4 Share #47 Posted May 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) They had a ‘like new’ M11 in the UK MPB for just over £4.3k a few weeks back. £2.5k trade in is not too far off in that scenario. You’d have to be pretty desperate or really dislike private selling to let it go for that price.

I just caught this thread a bit late, but am laughing out loud at the "what does OG mean" posts. In a good way, to those who are asking. It's like when I say "that's fire" to my daughter and she recoils and walks out of the room.

I am not young… in here it really feels like the average age is 70+. Which is absolutely fine, I hope to be here then too. But OG got far too much attention

250swb Posted May 5 Share #53 Posted May 5 Who are we blaming here, the guy who bought the camera and now wants to flip it or the people who want to buy it? There is no duty on the potential buyer to offer what seems to be considered a 'better' price after costs. They take the risk of selling it on and adding a warranty and if there are issues with the M11 I'm baffled why a lower price shouldn't be a factor. The market isn't strong for M11's and if/when a new version comes out the prices will go down again. We've lost the traditional connection between a familiar face behind the counter and a long term relationship where 'better' trade-in's are given based on buying patterns, everybody selling gear is now a stranger and should be treated as a stranger for the sake of the business. To be fair there’s bigger problems in the world, it seems the Leica forum members are pedantically rigid on what they expect to see and read in here, which is obviously fine.… I typed OG, it’s 4 pages in and half the conversation was about that and not the actual subjective post 😁
