Rangefinder diopter strength variability?

I recently noticed that I found my M11D significantly harder to focus at close range than my M11P and M11M. All three have a +1.5 adapter. When I swapped to a +2.0 adapter on the M11D it became easier to focus at close range than the other two but much harder to semi guesswork for 20 feet or more, leading me to assume that a +1.75 would be perfect if they made one.

Is there internal adjustment of the rangefinder with regards to it's 2m focus point with -0.5 suggesting my M11D is out of tolerance and therefore something which could be corrected at the factory?

I also use a +1.5 and have the same issue, as I posted in another thread. Fine for medium and long distance, but close up I need to use my glasses as well to give an extra bit of correction. My glasses are "varifocal" (progressive) so correct long and short sightedness, and I guess that is part of the problem. I'm not sure if there is an easy solution apart from using my Visoflex, so interested in other responses too.

AFAIK there is no adjustment but it can never hurt to ask Leica CS.

I wrote yesterday to the UK, no response yet. Is the camera you have a problem with an M11D or a different variant?

I'm using an M11, but I think problem is with my eyes rather than the camera. I suspect this is just the reality of using a range finder with aging eyes.

I'd have assumed that but my other two bodies M11M and M11P are perfect with the +1.5 and the M11D is not. It doesn't matter if I swap the diopters around. This leads me to the conclusion that in my case the M11D rangefinder is not tuned for the same focal distance. 

I've written to Leica and reminded them today. No reply yet.

Answer is back to Leica. In factory timings are good, the rest is down to the misery of brexit.
