Nigel Downing Posted April 23 Share #1 Posted April 23 Advertisement (gone after registration) Since the closure of Newton & Ellis, does anyone have a recommendation of where I can get a Pradovit C2500 slide projector.repaired? When commanded to shift to the next slide it just buzzes, as if the carriage is stuck. My thanks. Nigel Downing
Advertisement Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Hi Nigel Downing, Take a look here Pradovit repair UK. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
R-ler Posted April 23 Share #2 Posted April 23 (edited) If you can t repair it yourself, one option is, to buy a replacement. Old projectors aren t much expensive anymore. Edited April 23 by R-ler
chris_livsey Posted April 25 Share #3 Posted April 25 I concur with that, you missed this recently in Manchester: £149 is probably what any repair would cost assuming it is reparable, parts will not be easy. Leitz Pradovit CA 2500 Slide Projector with 90mm f2.5 Lens. Cased – The Real Camera Company I do see rubber drive belts for sale on that ubiquitous auction site and this could be, given the age, the fault, common with cassette players of that vintage, which should be a home repair, a bit of a dismantle may show if this is the problem, nothing lost if it's broken. Good luck.

jc_braconi Posted April 28 Share #5 Posted April 28 I got the problem some years ago, last one from a P2000, look after removing the top cover without making the projector to run, by hand move the dia transporter, if by case, one of the foil (there are 2, each side ) that are in, on the carrying stuff, is not out of its place, they are there to prevent the light to dazzle you during the process to change dias. quite easy to repair, I repair 3 of them. Hoping to be clear in my explanations

The autofocus no longer works but the manual focuscontrol does. Does anyone on this forun have access to the SERVICEMANUAL for the P2000. I suppose the alignment process is explained there. jc_braconi Posted May 23 Share #7 Posted May 23 Advertisement (gone after registration) Certainly it needs some cleaning with air pressure first and the lens wich made the autofocus next
