F-train Posted June 4 Share #24 Posted June 4 Always good experiences with them, buying, selling and returning. No warranty cases. Only thing is communication lately, and one valuation issue. They appear to grow a bit too fast.
F-train Posted June 4 Share #25 Posted June 4 And of course, check info and photos carefully. I never buy anything with haze fungus moisture dents etc. if you do that, “Good” is usually more than good.
Einst_Stein Posted June 4 Share #26 Posted June 4 My experiences: for used stuffs, always search MPB first, if they don’t have what I am looking for, then followed to KEH, Usedphoto, adorama. But there is a problem with MPB: only the UK site and US site would ship to USA. The EU site would not,
pgh Posted June 4 Share #27 Posted June 4 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Their “excellent” grading is quite wide ranging. I’ll prefer used on private forums or some resellers first but sometimes MBP has a good enough deal it’s worth it, and the return process is straightforward enough. I’ve also sold to them, and that’s gone well enough, though when you do you know you could be getting more than they give you if you put in some effort. It’s a great lazy way to sell gear though. Again - here I’ve sold things I would have rated as “good” and they rated as “excellent” - this is why their photos are (in part) more useful than their grading system. I will say this - in my experience they are better than KEH in pretty much every way. They tend to pay better and also have better prices. The service has been better too.
