epines Posted April 11 Share #1 Posted April 11 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if this is possible? So far my S batteries are fine, but I'm just thinking about the future. If an S4 comes out, I have no idea if it will use the same batteries (and thus whether S batteries will be available in the future). thanks e
Advertisement Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Hi epines, Take a look here Is it possible to re-cell an S battery?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
davidmknoble Posted April 12 Share #2 Posted April 12 I forget who does it, but someone does that to rebuild Leica R DMR batteries, so presumably? But, Leica M8 and M9 batteries still work, so I think it will be awhile.
Pieter12 Posted April 12 Share #3 Posted April 12 Most probably by someone with the proper skills. The battery is a precise fit in the body, so any distortion during reassembly would render it useless. New batteries are still sometimes available and used ones pop up, too. Recently UsedPhotoPro had a number of them. I have a number of batteries for the 006 and S3, keeping my fingers crossed.
