Debs Posted April 6 Share #1  Posted April 6 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi , I am looking for some info and an approximate price for this camera that belonged to my late husband . I have no knowledge of these cameras and would like to sell it . I have listed it on e bay with very little info and have been told it is not an M3 and is only worth about £100 . I was under the impression it was worth a lot more than that . I would really appreciate anyone’s advice on this Thanks in advance Welcome, dear visitor! jaapv Posted April 6 Share #2  Posted April 6 The forum does not do valuations but 100£ is ripping you off if it is an M3 :However the dimensions are wrong and the serial number is strange and the shutter speed dial is wrong. Take it to a reputable Leica dealer. It is a Minox miniature Leica M3 replica and a minor collector's item. https://vintagefilmcamerashop.com/Minox-Digital-Classic-Camera-Leica-M3-4.0-Miniature-Replica 1

qqphot Posted April 8 Share #4  Posted April 8 This is not a Leica M3, but a sort of "toy" replica. It was made as a novelty.
chris_livsey Posted April 9 Share #5  Posted April 9 (edited) This is NOT the M3 Minox digital replica, it is the film version made from 2000/2001 up to around 2005 (all approx) taking the 8x11 Minox Minocolour film sold in a presentation box it was in the "Classic Camera" series with a 15mm f5.6 Minotar lens. The digital version had a 9.6mm or 8.7 mm lens there were 4 and 5MP versions ISTR. Estimates are between 1,000 to 2,000 per model with the Leica at the higher end but no one has accurate numbers that I recall. The serial numbers engraved are very different in format the digital version does not state M3, the controls have a different appearance also, the rear screen is a bit of a give away on the digital though. Without I hope breaching valuation guidelines, it's not a Leica after all, the £100 is about right if boxed and mint with film maybe a bit more.
