Kiwimac Posted May 6 Share #42 Posted May 6 If the Safari does appear, what’s the betting like on brass or aluminium under the paint? Asking for a friend.

I have a collection of 10 photos of the release. Wanted to see if someone would repost it as the full photo shows the whole leica strap, brown leather jacket and couch. But yea purposefully cropped it knowing someone would post it. A user called "bravnicar" took this photo, posted it on reddit as their own (this exact crop) likely for reddit karma points and upvotes. Shortly after Leica Rumors posted this exact crop (again not the original pic) to their site as their own, assumedly taken from the reddit post. Kiwimac Posted May 7 Share #48 Posted May 7 (edited) No names, no pack drill but I have confirmation from a reliable source that the camera is real and Thursday might well be a good day to stay home from work. Unless you work in a Leica store.   Edit - for those of us Downunder, Friday morning. Edited May 7 by Kiwimac

Quite informal washed-once-too-often cargo shorts and disreputable T shirt type. Those are zoos in the bush. A luxury camp is one that has a genuine flushing toilet. What idiot would pay 5000$ a person a day to keep up with the Joneses? Of course, his and hers satellite phones are provided, with a uniformed flunky to carry them. Chasing wildlife is highly unethical and can result in a guide being fired. You are there to observe with as little disturbance as possible. I remember quite a while ago - at Lake Kariba a small 4 tents camp. I often wear a smoking cap when smoking a good cigar … sometimes these old fashioned ways make our life a touch different. like a green safari M Leica ! 😀
jaapv Posted May 8 Share #51 Posted May 8 I once knew a Safari guide who used to take the brand new Tilly hat off a newbie Safari guest, drive his Landrover over it a few times and return it with the words “ now you are allowed on my vehicle.” True story. 1

I’ve got one of the original cotton duck ones that must be at least 30 years old now. Aside from the brass eyelets which have a very worn colour, the hat still looks pretty new! Welcome, dear visitor!
