Yeah...ME.

I just bought a Q3 (28) after nearly a year of seldom using either my Q2 or M10R, my iPhone 16 Pro taking over as my "camera."  I posted to that effect not long ago - that my iPhone assumed the position as my main camera.  I had also stated that I had checked out a Q3 shortly after it was released and didn't care for the added bulk of the flip screen.  So here I am with a Q3 in my possession.  People are strange.

 Interestingly, the added bulk of the flip screen that I disliked when I handled the camera at a Leica store a year ago didn't bother me at all.  But so far, I haven't used the flip screen - haven't even tried to move it out of the home position.  

Again...people are strange.

I use the flip screen to shoot over the heads of a crowd. And to save my knees and back when shooting from low level.

I have used the flip screen twice in 16 months - it just doesn't suit my style of shooting.

I went out today in the rain and managed to pry the tilt screen out and shoot two ground level pics without actually getting on the ground!  "Hmmm..."I thought, "might be something to this..."

I use the tilt screen very often, it was one of the reasons why I got the Q3 43.

Funny, it was one of the main reasons I DIDN"T like the Q3 when it was released.  Oh well, there was a time I didn't like automatic transmissions either...;)

I use the LCD in Extended mode… only comes on for menu and when flip screen is pulled out.   It saves the battery a lot.  If I want to preview a shot I lift the flip out a centimeter and the preview pops up.

Once you touch a Q3, its already embedded into your DNA. You know you want it, so you had to have it.

I got a Q3 so I wouldn't be tempted by the SL APO 28. That didn't work. My Q3 (which K also has and is her primary camera)sat on the shelf.

Then came the Q3-43 and now the 28 does get used. An easy two camera carry. I'd have a three camera carry if Leica would just make a 90mm 2.8 vesrion.

And I use mine trying to take a gas meter reading to submit. Our meters are low to pavement level and mine was replaced last year with one having a lightup strip which alas goes off after 3 seconds. Quite a struggle trying to focus crouching on the ground even with the foldout screen.
