Advertisement Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hi Chris Akin, Take a look here Setting Aperture Priority on the Leica S (Type 006). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pieter12 Posted March 23 Share #2 Posted March 23 Push the rear dial on the right side of the camera back. You might have to push it a second time. The top display will change from “P” to “A”
Tirpitz666 Posted March 24 Share #3 Posted March 24 Or just turn the shutter dial on top to “A”, the you will control the aperture with the other main dial.

This is the second elementary question that you've asked so I would respectfully suggest that you download a copy of the manual. davidmknoble Posted March 25 Share #6 Posted March 25 Great question @Chris Akin! Welcome to the forum. I had an S006 briefly and one other thing I learned was that the shutter speed is not always the one marked on the dial! If you have an EVF +/- added and you are on an automatic mode, then the marked shutter speed can be adjusted for the EVF, not always the one marked. The manuals are long, but there are likely some parts you may find helpful. I now shoot the S007 and S3 which have displays and no dial - for some reason I just couldn’t get that to work the way I wanted! Look forward to seeing some of your images! If you have exposure compensation set, it will show up on the top display as - or +, as well as in the viewfinder along the bottom.

Yes, but changing the dial to a different shutter speed is less intuitive when it isn't what's marked. That was my point.
