RogerGC Posted March 19 Share #1 Posted March 19 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just upgraded to Q3 and my SF24D Flash doesn't work on TTL. I just get a flashing A on the screen when it's set to TTL/GNC. Seems to work OK when set to A on the side switch, but then I have to select aperture and speed. Two questions. 1. Is it OK to use the 24D on the Q3? 2. What would the suggested aperture/speed settings be in order not to have to fiddle around and find a setting every time I use it. Leica UK tech. are not at all helpful on this. The instruction book lists recommended Leica flashguns and says don't use any others except those with a single pin contact. I'd appreciate some guidance as I don't want to mess up the camera.
Advertisement Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hi RogerGC, Take a look here Q3 and SF24D Flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted March 19 Share #2 Posted March 19 No reason why it should not be OK. If you use a flash on manual you have to adjust for distance. If you use it on A the flash will take care of it. Just set the aperture used on the flash. Use compensation as needed.
