Took possession of the ca. 1990 v3 copy yesterday. My first impression is that it is smaller than I assumed it would be, and really doesn’t handle much worse than the 1.2. Shot some film in the afternoon, then put it on the 10-R as we hit the theater later last night. Very pleased!

I saw conflicting information, but as far as I know the f/1.0 Noctilux was only produced in Canada.

At the time I was referring to, those of us who ordered the Noctilux had to wait 3 months (from memory) while our Notciluxes were assembled in Germany and also had "made in Germany" engraved on the lens barrel. So absolutely from 2006 or earlier Noctilux were assembled in Germany and bore that fact.

There was also some discussion at that time, again if memory serves about the lanthanum glass and if it was available / could still be used  or if a comparable glass from Shott was used in these German Noctilux. I don't remember if it was ever confirmed.
