mhasman Posted March 1 Share #1 Posted March 1 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I finally pulled the plug, got myself long-time-wanted M11 Monochrom with Summicron 35mm. Lovely camera, lot of things to learn, lot of fun to shoot with. QQ. Camera is built very solid. Only thing little bothering me is ISO dial slightly moving, not sitting still. Is it normal for M11 body? Not a big deal, not a reason for me to dislike it, look for replacement or service. I just didn't expect it from $10K camera. Nothing like that on M7 or even on film CL, Minolta CLE. Thanks! Edited March 1 by mhasman

GFW2-SCUSA Posted March 1 Share #2 Posted March 1 Congratulations on your new camera! I have an M10 R and there is no movement in my ISO dial when seated. I can't imagine Leica put wiggle room in the M11M. If there is I think it would mean it is not as it should be. At the price of the camera I would not be happy with the dial moving at all other than up and down. I would talk with your dealer if you can. Your camera should be perfect.
Stevejack Posted March 3 Share #3 Posted March 3 This is about the level of movement on all of my M cameras. Is yours worse than this? IMG_5977.mov

mhasman Posted March 4 Author Share #5 Posted March 4 (edited) Yes, on my version iso dial was moving longer, about 2mm to each direction. Also, when slightly shaking the camera, there was slicking sound coming from that area. Camera been shipped back today for replacement. Thanks everyone, I appreciate your help!
