Also another lens i am considering is the 50 Konica as reading that similar construction if any feedback Thanks Vadim
Advertisement Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi vk2109, Take a look here M10M and 50 summicron / 50 Konica Hexanon question for owner. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AceVentura1986 Posted March 1 Share #2 Posted March 1 I have both an M10P and M10M and mostly use a 50Cron, V5 manufactured in 2000. I’ve always found the rendering of the 50 to be quite beautiful. Unless I need the added room that a 35 gives, the 50 is my standard lens.
ramarren Posted March 15 Share #3 Posted March 15 (edited) My Summicron-M 50mm was made in 2008-2009 according to the serial number listing on the Leica Wiki. I don't know whether this constitutes a "Version V" or whatever. Regardless, I've used it on the M10 Monochrom (and every other Leica mount body I've had) since I bought it, likely ten years ago now. It always works beautifully, one of my most used lenses. Welcome, dear visitor! Naïad - Santa Clara 2022 Leica M10 Monochrom + Summicron-M 50mm f/2, orange filter I have no experience with the Hexanon 50mm lens. I do have experience with the Voigtländer Color-Skopar 50mm f/2.5, which produces results almost indistinguishable from the Summicron-M 50mm. Both are very fine lenses. Hope that helps. Jeff S Posted March 16 Share #4 Posted March 16 The v5 was introduced in 1994, and is still current. The prior v4 was produced from 1979-1994 and, among other minor differences, included a focus tab. I recently added a new v5 to my arsenal, having previously owned one long ago. While I also have a 50 Summilux ASPH (v1), I find that the Summicron pairs particularly well with my M10 Monochrom, including rendering, compactness and handling/ergonomics. There are of course many variables involved in final print rendering, not the least my own shooting, editing and print/display methods and decisions. At the end of the day, nobody but me knows or cares what gear was used.
