Don't overlook the advantage of the Summilux over the Summicron when you shoot closeup for a face.  You can make the eyes sharp and the ears go out of focus.  You may ask why would anyone want to do that.  It's a trick used by headshot photographers for actors to make them look more sensual.  We, personally only encouter this look if you are very close to someone's face.  So, it's a psychological effect that the model looks more enticing and with more feeling in their look when eyes are sharp and ears are blurred.

This was shot with an R 50mm Summilux 11776 at f 1.4 with a digital APS sensor.

I went with the v3 in the end, and the integrated hood is much better implemented then the one of the Lux asph, so I am happy with my choice.
