hallomarvin Posted February 19 Share #1 Posted February 19 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey there, last night I encountered something strange on my Q2 (newest firmware). I was browsing through my images to add stars to my favourites. I usually press play, dann turn the thumb dial left to "zoom out" to gallery view and scroll up to see where I stopped adding stars to my images. Suddenly some of the small thumbnail-images did not show the preview, instead a black icon with a question mark. When I "zoomed in", the images where shown normally. When I zoomed out again, the question marks where back, but not necessarily on the same images. I popped out the card and transferred everything on my computer, all the images are fine. I formatted the card (in camera), took a few testshots and cannot reproduce the problem. I tried "first aid" on the card in disc utility on mac and it could not find any problems. I also tried the "Blackmagic Disk Speed" where I also encountered no problems. So – is it a bug in my Q2 or should I ditch the SD card? (Sandisk Extreme Pro V90II, maximum 2 years old) Thanks in advance ✌️
Advertisement Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Hi hallomarvin, Take a look here Q2 memory card issue (question marks instead of previews in gallery view). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 19 Share #2 Posted February 19 Did you use this card in another camera? If so, did you format it in the computer using SDFormatter?

No, only in the Q2. And I always format in camera.
jaapv Posted February 19 Share #4 Posted February 19 Given the problems, a deep reformat in SDFormatter would be wise.

Thanks for posting that, i always formatted the cards in the device using them, but reading what sdcard.org write it's probaböly a better and safer idea to use sdformatter. As i just received two Sony Tough sd disks, i will test it on them. Chris
