The recital was supposed to be led by a tenor, but he lost his voice. In the alternative programme put together by these two, the piano, in the visual imagination, appears to sing in his place. stuny Posted February 17 Share #3 Posted February 17 A lovely set, and depending on the adeptness of the musicians and their selected pieces, possibly also quite lovely.

It was a lovely recital. It was intended to be poems by Anthony Howell set to music by Michael Nyman, Battista Pradal and the Alessando Cortello, the voiceless tenor. In the event, the alternative repertoire was piano and cello solos and duets (I can't remember the details, but Liszt was one composer), interspersed by Anthony Howell reading his own poems. Riccardo Pes and Ralph Woodward were the musicians who 'discovered' works to perform at half an hour's notice.
