DreiPunkte Posted February 12 Share #1  Posted February 12 Advertisement (gone after registration) I moved the 1m stop pin away and tried to unscrew the thread but it stopped almost in the same place as with the pin. Is there anything else stopping me from cleaning and re-lubricating? The little Elmar and me says thanks for any help Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Hi DreiPunkte, Take a look here Elmar 35mm: What stops me to open the helicoid?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jerzy Posted February 12 Share #2 Â Posted February 12 Elmar 35mm has two helicoids, one for rangefinder and the second for optics. Both are mechanically connected and there is only one position that both distance and focus match. It is not so trivial as 5cm Elmar. If you want to take it apart unscrew 4 screws at the backside and pull out a ring that couples both helicoids. Then it is possible to remove both helicoids separately. Remember/mark separation point for both
DreiPunkte Posted February 12 Author Share #3 Â Posted February 12 Thanks for the fast replay. Iam not in a hurry, the lens is only too stiff when its cold and needs a cleanig and regreasing. The glas and the aperture are very good. I don't find the screws you are talking aboud may be Iam too blind. I will order a printed repairguide from Japan. I like to see what I have to do. Iam deeply impressed from this little lens. I have only done some tests and I think there are a lot of fun when I lerned this glas.
jerzy Posted February 12 Share #4  Posted February 12 Sorry, I mixed it up with Summaron 35 LTM. Here you might have black ring backside (sometimes is missing) and than screw out two small square brass blocks coupling both helicoids. But if you ordered instruction than better to wait, I cannot send you now any photos to visualize
