Advertisement Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hi lucy63, Take a look here Problem uploading new firmware to Q343. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
PhotoCruiser Posted February 11 Share #2 Posted February 11 (edited) Not sure what to do to interrupt the firmware update to avoid bricking the camera. If the Q3 can load the firmware thru the memory card as the Q2 can then i suggest you to do that instead of using the Fotos app. I personally don't trust formware updates over a phone as if the connection drop bad things can happen. You can find the multilingual Firmware HERE Chris Edited February 11 by PhotoCruiser
JNK100 Posted February 11 Share #3 Posted February 11 It is better to use the SD card for firmware updates iny view.
Le Chef Posted February 11 Share #4 Posted February 11 I would walk away and come back in an hour and see. As said above, I would never do a wireless transfer of anything between the camera and phone. Simply download to a memory card and plug that directly into the camera. It’s the safest way.
lucy63 Posted February 11 Author Share #5 Posted February 11 Thank you...I left the camera for a while, the firmware didn't upload, fortunately I still had a camera not a brick and I've uploaded the firmware using the SD card.
PhotoCruiser Posted February 11 Share #6 Posted February 11 Good to hear! Now you know what not to do and that uploading using a SD card is much safer. Happy photographing! Chris
