kirkmc Posted February 21 Share #82 Posted February 21 That's not working for me. Whether I launch the app first or wake up the grip first, it's not recognized.

That's all. Yes, this works for me as well. Wait an hour, or a day and it still connects after pushing the shutter release for a couple seconds. I could see if this didn't work, that it would be very frustrating. Edited February 21 by thatkatmat

Hi Kirk, guessing you tried uninstalling it and re-installing. I didn't see which phone you have. I have the 15 pro Max. thatkatmat Posted February 21 Share #85 Posted February 21 (edited) I was having issues activating the free year, but found the code for redemption on my Leica Account on the Leica page (Club.Leica-Camera.com) > My Products, clicked on the grip and it had the code there by the product specs. Me too, and it’s with that phone I had the problems with the Snapgrip. I do wonder if there’s something peculiar about the Bluetooth implementation on the 16 Pro that is contributing to these issues. It’s interesting that kirkmc is having problems where others don’t seem to.

EnglishmanInLatvia Posted February 24 Share #91 Posted February 24 I used the Lux grip for some photo-journalism today. The grip was excellent taking video with Final Cut Camera and a Shure MV88 mic plugged in. So much more stable than before. Taking photos with the Lux app was a nightmare. It was using a timer and flash every shot. Only when I had time at home to check did I realise that the last update switched everything to ‘on’ for aperture and photo mode settings. Now fine, but forum members may wish to check your settings before the pressure of needing quick photos! No problems starting the grip with a 14 Pro, by the way. kirkmc Posted February 24 Share #92 Posted February 24 I just checked mine, none of those settings are turned on.
thegobi Posted February 25 Share #93 Posted February 25 Odd question... does anyone know if it will fit an iPhone Mini 13? I can't seem to find anything about size except 'fits all MagSafe' phones. All the Apple MagSafe products fit the Mini -- they extend right up to the edge of the phone (unlike the other phones that have a gap. Still fit though.) kirkmc Posted February 25 Share #94 Posted February 25 Check the dimensions. I’ve never held a mini so I’m not sure.
EnglishmanInLatvia Posted February 25 Share #95 Posted February 25 This is my wife’s iPhone 13 mini with my Lux grip attached. Feels secure and easy to use. My only issue would be the limitations of the Lux app with a two camera iPhone 13. Welcome, dear visitor! It seems you’re the only one here for whom the awakening technique doesn’t work? Still wondering if there’s something 16 Pro specific.
kirkmc Posted February 26 Share #97 Posted February 26 No, and still nothing from Leica. Is there a support email address? Because contacting them via the app is useless.

Even knowing the dimensions etc it’s hard to get an idea where the magnets align. I am not too bothered by the two camera limitation - it is more of a fun colour backup to my Monochrom. If Apple doesn’t give up on MagSafe (they are fond of dropping things…) it will work on a replacement iPhone anyway :)
