AnakChan Posted January 25 Share #1 Â Posted January 25 Advertisement (gone after registration) So whilst on holiday in UK, I've lost my lens cap for my 24Lux - something which i thought I was careful in my 14 yrs ownership of the 24Lux. The original part number is 14480. Walking into Leica Mayfair, they did not have a replacement and suggested the 14482 (which is meant to be for the 21Lux?) as a replacement. They didn't have stock of that either to test if it truly was compatible. Does anyone know if the 14482 for 21Lux is truly compatible with the 14480? I can't seem to find any proof of that on the net - aside from a Leica rep from the Mayfair store.
Advertisement Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hi AnakChan, Take a look here Original lens cap for the 24Lux?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lexffm Posted January 25 Share #2 Â Posted January 25 (edited) @AnakChan The one on the 21 Lux (14482) is much too big. The 28 Lux has the same lens cap as the 24 Lux (14480). Â Regards, Alex Edited January 25 by lexffm
AnakChan Posted January 25 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 25 Thx @lexffm. I suspected as much & was surprised the Leica Mayfair rep suggested that particular part number. Â As such checking the audience here. Â I'm wondering if Leica still makes these caps for the 24Lux anymore.
lexffm Posted January 25 Share #4 Â Posted January 25 I bought my 28mm Lux new on January 3, 2025 at the Leica store in Frankfurt. The guy at your place should be able to order the cap without any problems.
