goldgranada Posted February 12 Share #23 Posted February 12 Sorry about the image but short on time this morning. I was able to add an additional filter, one thin and one thicker, close the front cap and also able to operate the macro function of the lens without any interference. Hope this helps you! If anyone find a solution please let me now. Not sure if the opening is the same as the original, but, if it is, the otect cap, that snaps into place might work. https://otect.co/products/q-cap-v2-for-leica-q-q-p-q2-q2-monochrom

pmorelli Posted February 13 Share #27 Posted February 13 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have octect and it fits, but is extremely tight. I emailed the guy, he said I could try bending the hooks in a bit, but I’ll prob just try the match one.
My1stLeicaCam Posted June 18 Share #28 Posted June 18 Finally got the magflip for my Q3. It’s really awesome built. I’m using a cpl during daytime and it’s really so convenient. When in macro mode, I need to flip down the hood. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! I read about conflicting info online and there’s a mention that new version comes with a lens cap. I’m using a mist filter and a magnetic cpl. So if I’m rotating to macro mode, the cpl will push the hood. But this is understandable limit. I really love this magflip hood. Glad I bought it since I’m always using a cpl in daytime. Alexander108 Posted June 21 Share #31 Posted June 21 (edited) OMG I wish I knew that earlier. Was in New York last week and probably could have picked up on from B&H which was 5 minutes walking distance away from the hotel. Now I bought it from Amazon in Germany and paid 199 Euros. But this is what I needed. I eventually was too lazy to unscrew the hood put the CPL on and store the hood somewhere in the meantime. This thing is great. Mine also came with a cap. Nice.
