Antonio Fattorini Posted January 17 Share #1 Â Posted January 17 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I recently got a Leica SL3 and would like to know from someone who has had it for a while how many DNG images it records with a 32 GB SD card. I had a Fuji GFX 100S before and it seems to me that with the same card it recorded more images. Thanks Edited January 17 by Antonio Fattorini
Advertisement Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Hi Antonio Fattorini, Take a look here Leica SL3 memory card capacity. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LD_50 Posted January 17 Share #2  Posted January 17 File size for DNG should be around 70 MB according to Leica.

Photoworks Posted January 17 Share #4 Â Posted January 17 DNG range from 70-90MB each
Photoworks Posted January 17 Share #5 Â Posted January 17 just buy a big card, that 32gb card is probably slow
LD_50 Posted January 17 Share #6  Posted January 17 Memory card capacity will be something lower than the listed capacity. File size will vary depending on settings and the image content.
Jonathan Levin Posted January 17 Share #7 Â Posted January 17 Advertisement (gone after registration) And if you plan on shooting any video, that 32gb will fill pretty fast.
BradS Posted January 17 Share #8 Â Posted January 17 there's file system overhead to consider as well. Files are not stored "tightly packed" either they're stored in blocks. The smallest chuck of memory is one block - which for a FAT32 formatted 32GB card, might be 32k bytes.
Bernd-B Posted January 17 Share #9 Â Posted January 17 on my 64GB cards I get around 500-600 images per card, should be 250-300 on a 32GB card.
