I had noticed on the PopFlash site that they offer ltm_M adapters from LLL (Light Lens Labs) at very reasonable prices. Since the LLL 8-Element 35 has proved to be very well made, and since many of the Chinese ltm adapters have had issues either with flange thickness/uniformity or thread orientation (so the lens orients correctly when mounted), I bought a set of all three type to examine.

As with their lenses these seem to be well machined. Flange thickness was uniform around the circumference, and thickness was within 0.01 mm of an actual Leitz adapter from the 1950s.

Lens orientation when seated on the adapter was within a few degrees of that on an actual Leitz adapter, so most lenses should align correctly for focusing - but the 35 adapter was off enough that my 35 f3.5 Summaron would not focus closer that 4.5 feet on the LLL, while it will focus al the way to the min. stop at just under 3.5 ft when on my Leitz and Rayqual adapters. This is a common problem on this Summaron due to the way the flange is cut for the cam follower.

The cutouts on the flange (to work with 7 o'clock ltm lenses) did not extend into the 6-bit coding area, so they should work on digital M. They do not have a recessed are for coding like the Rayqual and some others, but the outer rim is slightly shy of the central seating area, so marking with a fine tip pen should work well.

So it's not recommended for the 3.5 Summaron, but should work well with most lenses.
