vojtechmervart Posted January 1 Share #1 Posted January 1 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I own a Leica Q (type 116), and I have a question about whether the issue shown in the video is normal. Has anyone else experienced this, or should I take it to a service center? I’ve never noticed this before, so it concerns me a little. Thank you for your help, and I wish you all the best for 2025! 1735731556429097.mp4
Advertisement Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Hi vojtechmervart, Take a look here Lens “shaking”. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Le Chef Posted January 1 Share #2 Posted January 1 Do a search on this forum for “lens shaking” and “lens rattle” and “lens hum”. There are numerous threads for you to read and answer the question yourself.
LocalHero1953 Posted January 1 Share #3 Posted January 1 (edited) I don't have a Q (116), but I don't see this on my Q3 43. @Le Chef, I think you are mistaking this question for the one about the sound of rattling from the OIS system when switched off. This looks like something different. Safest to wait till someone with the same model can confirm. Edited January 1 by LocalHero1953

However, this is something different. I’m afraid it might be a mechanical defect (though I hope it isn’t).
Le Chef Posted January 1 Share #5 Posted January 1 Apologies - not enough caffeine yet. That does seem different. Does it affect the images you shoot?
stuny Posted January 1 Share #6 Posted January 1 My 7-year-old Q 116, which I carry and use nearly every day, does not do this. I suspect you need service

Siriusone59 Posted January 1 Share #10 Posted January 1 My Q doesn't have that much motion in the lens, maybe a tiny bit but not enough to make any sound like the one you've recorded.
JeDiOckfenFoto Posted January 2 Share #11 Posted January 2 I only have the Q2, but there is no lens wobbling in the body.
