lightexplorer Posted December 29, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does TTL work on an S 006 with Hasselblad lenses? I'm using SF58, SF40 and it does seem to work on the TTL setting. The SF58 set to TTL will not fire. It will on TTL-HSS. I'm using a 80mm and 120mm Hasselblad HC lenses
Advertisement Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Hi lightexplorer, Take a look here TTL on S 006 with Hasselblad lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
davidmknoble Posted January 9 Share #2 Posted January 9 When you say it will not fire TTL but will fire TTL-HSS, is your shutter speed higher than 1/125 (or 1/60, I forget what the sync is with the S006)? Also, are you using the old CV lenses on the S006, or the HDC lenses?
lightexplorer Posted January 14 Author Share #3 Posted January 14 Hasselblad HC lenses with the 16030 adapter The 006 will not fire the SF58 in TTL mode at any speed. Including the wire trigger. I thought it might be a setting not set correctly on camera, as SF58 in TTL mode on the CL works fine. On another forum it was suggested that perhaps the HC lenses with the 16030 adapter might not meter on the
davidmknoble Posted January 14 Share #4 Posted January 14 I would think the CF and CFi lenses would work well but I do not have experience with the HC lenses. However, Leica is clear that the S006 (and higher S’s) should work with the TTL on the SF58. A couple more things. 1) is the camera in an automatic mode or manual? I still struggle with flash on the Leica using auto modes because it just sets the exposure correctly and so no flash is needed. Using manual, I can get the flash to fire and then begin to control things. 2) are you tapping the shutter button to start metering before shooting the image? I assume so because you said the SF40 worked. I’ll try my SF64 and I have another leica flash to see what happens with an old Hasselblad CFi lens.
