G McKim Posted December 27, 2024 Share #1 Posted December 27, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good morning Leica comrades! Does anyone know of a small off camera flash, non-Leica brand such as maybe LightPix or similar, with transmitter that will work with Leica Q2? Does not necessarily need to have TTL function. Thanks in advance! George McKim
Advertisement Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Hi G McKim, Take a look here Is there a small off camera FLASH, non-Leica brand, with transmitter that will work with Leica Q2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Olaf_ZG Posted December 27, 2024 Share #2 Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) Try the godox ad100. Due to its design you can put it anywhere without a tripod and it’s strong enough to lighten up a small space. I use it a lot when shooting indoors. in the photo below, the model was standing in front of a curtain. The flash behind it, pointing towards the ceiling, which in return bounced up to her blond hair and shoulders…. Welcome, dear visitor! G McKim Posted December 27, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted December 27, 2024 Thanks for the tip. and you used it with the Q2 to make this photo? Great shot by the way!
Almizilero Posted December 27, 2024 Share #4 Posted December 27, 2024 I can recommend LightPix Labs Flash Q20 II (if manual only is ok). Tiny and durable. Had this thing falling from third floor balcony on concrete and it still works! The Godox stuff with the XProII transmitter is great, but not exactly small. The Lightpix is about the size (and price) of the Godox transmitter alone.

Q343. as @Almizilero said, the flash is not really very small, it’s like a coffeemug, but being 100w, it is much stronger than any other portable flash.
