Work / Deadlines / Family Stuff = no real personal snapping outing this seven-day. As such my submission is merely an alternative "Test and Compare" snap taken during the same 'extended lunch' as one other image posted in the 'Old Glass' thread so apologies if this is a bit 'Seen It Before' but, anyhow, here it is.

'Me Mate Mike in The Clachan', Little Marlborough Street, London. M-Monochrom, 1953 50mm f1.5 Summarit (M) shot wide-open. I do love this oft-maligned lens!

I've been following and enjoying this thread very much—it's full of great photographs—but have been too busy to post. Time to catch up!

My project is weekly black and white photography. But I've just sold my M10M (and SL2-S, and a bunch of lenses) in order to fund some family expenses. So, these are my last M10M photographs; from here on out everything will be conversions made with the M10-R.

I'm feeling a bit bummed about losing the M10M, but on the other hand maybe it will be good for my photography if I derive less satisfaction from the technical qualities of the images and focus more on the content. And it'll be interesting to see how much of the difference I can bridge through careful post-processing, now that I know what I'm looking for in my black and white photographs.

10/52. Next move. M10M + 50 Summilux ASPH and green filter.

Week 15

Former pig barn at Kolonie 7 (Merksplas, Belgium), now in use as a restaurant and hotel lobby.
Kolonie 7 was an early 19th century "camp" where tramps/vagrants that were picked up in the cities were put to work on a farm for a meal, a bed and a very meagre salary.

Elmar 135/4 + Sony A7ii

I'm currently working two "projects" in parallel, one on a Sony/Minolta forum where only photo's taken with those brand bodies are allowed and the Barnack Challenge/Project 52 on this forum where lens and/or camera needs to be Leica. So mounting Leica lenses on my Sony bodies means I can use the photo's for both projects on both fora. That avoids having to haul around too many cameras when I go out.

New Street Art adorns the Old Harbour Master / Harbour Control Buildings - now know as "l'Ateliers Graff" - Quai Georges Simenon, le Gabut, La Rochelle.

These buildings (of which this is just one small part), which were once at the centre of harbour traffic control for La Rochelle, are now being used as showcases / workspaces / classes for Street Art. Considering their location (le Gabut is slap-bang in the heart of the Old Port complex) it is quite remarkable (and in my opinion very laudable) that such extraordinarily valuable real-estate space is being used for such a purpose.

A couple of links with info for those who might visit the town and have a go themselves!;
