There was a good article in LFI a couple of years back In LFI showing the ICM photos of the Earl of March (now Duke of Richmond - owner of the Goodwood estate), who was a professional photographer at some time. It featured trees...

I didn't know about the LFI article; might try to see if there's anything on the www aout it.

As for 'March' (as he signed himself when he used to send me* a card at Christmas); I did remember reading something along those lines so have had a quick google. The 'Photography' entry part is brief (to put it mildly) but it does mention that he worked with - no doubt among others - Stanley Kubrick! I certaily didn't remember that bit!

the GRRC..

I didn't know you were a fellow member of the GRRC - but no reason why I should! I joined when it first launched as one of first 1000, but must be a big earner now with 6,999 members and a waiting list at over £300 a year. Perhaps we can co-ordinate a meet.

'March' used to get his stuff from Robert White in Poole (when RW was still with us). One of the guys in the shop told me he taught him Photoshop.

Unusual! Would you be so kind as to explain what it is that we are being shown?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, of course. The picture is the view through my skylight towards the sky where the rain is freezing. The black bird silhouette is a sticker on the window.

I've changed my project. I'm just going to try to make one black and white photo that I like per week. Ideally with my M10M—I'd like to use it more—but conversions are allowed, too.

@JoshuaRyou’re on a roll! I like your theme, and just like with myself, I am curious to see where we will be in 52 weeks. How did we develop? How did we change (or not) certain f.e processing.

You’re off on a good start though.
