42/52

The early autumn fog has cleared. The air is fresh and pure. For me, the day begins with clarity.

Thanks!

No; not completely.

The snap was taken using a method which I had tried-out a few times before so had a fair idea of what might happen although as the camera was the M-D 262 I didn't know exactly what the image would look like until it was processed-out.

I wanted to take a pic of the diner and had noticed the reflection of the sign on the top of a waste-bin (I think it was) as I was walking past. I sat the camera down on the top-rear part of it and hoped that the reflection would (a) be captured in the frame and (b) the pic woud look reasonably interesting.

Just for fun here's another photo snapped using the same technique;

I will, however, happily admit that the first time I tried-out this system it was done purely because the shutter-speed was going to be very slow therefore I needed to rest the camera on something to steady things up. As luck would have it the resulting effect 'worked' for the subject-matter so I've kept the idea in the back of my mind knowing that it might be useful on occassion.

Thank you for sharing, pippy !   That's a creative idea which I will try out to avoid  the dreaded empty foregrounds in my wide-angle pics.

Thank you to all the contributors. I've spent the last week going through this thread, a few pages at a time, and have enjoyed getting to know each of you by your style, subject and captions, and appreciate when you've deviated, such as on holidays.
