It is, absolutely without a shadow of a doubt, the very same place photographed from opposing sides of the overhead conveyor structure, Here is a screengrab from Google Maps which shows our relative positions when we captured our images. Pink circle to Left is my viewpoint; green circle to Right is yours; Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! The structure carries, on a daily basis by means of the conveyor belt jetty (in the Thames and just off-screen), raw materials from cargo vessels to the Plant to the south of the lane which belongs to Tarmac Construction whose name has been synonymous in the industry for over 120 years. If you are ever back in these parts it would be, for me, a pleasure to meet up with you and it so happens that just a hundred metres (or so) to the east of 'your' position there is an admirable watering hole named the 'Anchor and Hope'... View looking across the river from the 'Beer Garden' of the hostelry as mentioned; Best wishes to you and yours! Philip. That's great Pippy, thanks for the invite and much appreciated. I will keep that in mind, my the last time in London was 2018 (before Brexit and Covid) so it's high time I visit again, 😊 I do remember passing the "Anchor and Hope" that evening (even without entering it 😇) but I do have a much too tight grab shot from the facade. Unfortunately I only had one camera/lens with me that evening but here it is: Welcome, dear visitor! Olaf_ZG Posted February 10 Author Share #94 Posted February 10 Great to see that you all keep going when I am having a delay. As I bought an old camera, I needed to test shoot it, and my project was not part of it. Yet. Anyway, some more architecture. With the Q43 and a nd filter. Shutterspeed was 1/15, though this is irrelevant as I don’t remember how quick (or slow) I moved. From a - to me - overrated square. Welcome, dear visitor! I've photographed this tree (lying prone in the foreground) a number of times over the years. It came down during a big storm a few years ago now but instead of merely accepting their fate the branches on the top-most side of the trunk now grow upwards rather than outwards.
