Hello fellow members, I am a new member who has recently purchased some vintage Leitz Trinovid 10x40B binoculars made in 1974, I live in the UK and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase some new Leica rubber eye-cups and an ocular lens as one of the lenses is scratched. I am hoping that someone may know of a company that specialises in servicing binoculars and may have some new old stock left. As a first port of call, I contacted Leica customer care (who tried to help as much as they could) in Germany and they said they do not have any of the aforementioned parts and consequently do not service my vintage binoculars anymore. I would be very grateful for any advice given.

I'm in a very similar position, except my binoculars are old 8x40B Trinovids, which also need new rubber eyecups. The old part number for mine is 42 133, and this may be the same for the 10x40B binoculars.

I had mine serviced in 2023 by Optical Repairs, near Chichester in West Sussex - see https://www.opticalrepairs.com/. They didn't have any original Leitz eyecup spares, but they did find a couple of non-Leitz ones that serve as well.
