The recent published book, looking back at 70 years of the M series camera arrived here, at home in Lancashire UK. Shipped from Germany. It’s a substantial publication, hard back and covers the development of the camera, as well as its use by renowned photographers. A worthy Christmas present.

jmr Posted November 28, 2024 Share #2 Posted November 28, 2024 I agree, it's a lovely thing, beautifully researched and presented. Unsurprisingly it seems to be sold-out most everywhere.

No, it doesn't give a production number, but there is a short piece on the camera. I think you'll enjoy the book when yours arrives.

Deeetona Posted January 14 Share #8 Posted January 14 I bought the book in Wetzlar, and it’s very well done. However, don’t expect to find much new information. The M story has been explored and documented from so many angles that there’s hardly anything left uncovered. I’ve decided to donate my copy to a photo library, where others can enjoy and benefit from it.
_leicaguru Posted February 2 Share #9 Posted February 2 I may get one for free (possibly a reprint with my photo on it). Let's see what happens. It's a long shot but still.. it could happen.
crf59 Posted February 10 Share #10 Posted February 10 I got 3 free from my dealer (well, I did by an MP and M11P on the same day) and gave 2 away. I think it's great. It may not have a lot of new info, but it's very well done and has a lot of great photos in it.
