Doc Henry Posted January 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2008 Really expressive and very nice M8 shot ,Marco
stuny Posted January 1, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2008 Marco - Excellent candid. As with the shy little boy I suspect a bit of sharpening would improve it, though.
Marquinius Posted January 1, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted January 1, 2008 OK, so I exported it to Cs and did 100/1,5/1 sharpening (I'm a bit carefull, because I really don't like the over-sharpened pictures). Tell me what you think, as I'm anxious to learn. Marco
stuny Posted January 1, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 1, 2008 marco - Very judicous use of sharpening, and not over sharpened. Now I'm wondering if just a bit more contrast would also help.

Marquinius Posted January 2, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted January 2, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I really value critiques, so here's the shot with more contrast. Something I'll have to think about as I obviously have a tendency to be a bit too carefull with sharpening and contrast. It's not the first time I hear this, so here's something on which I can work to enhance my skills.
stuny Posted January 2, 2008 Share #8 Posted January 2, 2008 Marco - In my opinion, now the image has more life.
biglouis Posted January 2, 2008 Share #9 Posted January 2, 2008 Marco Great picture, I think #3 is the best but you could still punch up the colours by using curves. Of course, this would also work very well as a b&w print. LouisB
