lightpainter Posted January 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) two faded beauties in the morning light; I had to be fast to catch the sunlight at the right angle; I think the 135 apo is worth a try on the M8, even without frame-help in the finder
Advertisement Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Hi lightpainter, Take a look here M8 and 135 apo - Anemone and Salvia . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hdrmd Posted January 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2008 Nice work. I agree; I use the 135 often, and I don't find it that hard to estimate the framing. DR
ho_co Posted January 1, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2008 Beautiful work, Heiner. It's the kind of thing that a rangefinder isn't 'designed to do,' because it requires pre-visualization. And that makes your success all the more impressive. --HC
redfalo Posted January 1, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2008 wow, this is really an impressive shot
woodyspedden Posted January 2, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2008 Interestingly I use the 135 APO Telyt seldom when compared to say my 28 Cron. But when I need and use it, I find it remarkable. Images are beautiful and while you have to play with it for a while to understand the framing, this is digital after all and the incremental cost of this experimentation is zero! psquared Posted January 2, 2008 Share #6 Posted January 2, 2008 Heiner, An excellent use of lighting and love the pattern. I think you used the compression that the focal length gives you pretty effectively. Peter
lightpainter Posted January 2, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted January 2, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks a lot for all your encouraging comments; here's a second one with the 135 apo and selective focus I took the same morning of some tyre tracks on a frozen road near my home; I agree with Ho Co that of course selective focus is not as easy to work out with a rangefinder camera as with an SLR, but the M8 helps since you can control your results fast and react
azzo Posted January 2, 2008 Share #8 Posted January 2, 2008 Heiner, Two images that work very nicely indeed. Azzo
