Regret buying a Digital M. Can't compare to a film M

Also the use of yellow and red filters on the lens where something I missed in the M10 

Maybe an M11 Monochrom would do the same, but I do not know if I want to shoot so much pictures to justify the purchase.

i shoot digital mostly as I cannot get high iso results from film like I can on my M11 and m10m. Having said that I love a roll of film in my m6. Got roll of fujichrome next in line so I can be lab influence free pics!

if you use doesn’t include low light then absolutely you gain little from digital.

the only other consideration might be if you travel and airport security and film which I hear can be a pain!

Many seem happy with the B&W images from the color m, and they are nice from my m11. I recently found myself owning an m10m and it outputs astonishing images. I shoot in a lot of pretty dark places and there just aren’t film options that even come close!

Good lighting, I’ll grab a film M every time. But, I tend to always bring a digital M when traveling too, so many beautiful but dark interiors or long exposure opportunities that I am glad I lugged it along.

When I travelled  with film , airport security were not really issues. There are bags tot keep film safe. Ok, it ‘s a little more hassle. But films and hassle have always been. 
and all of us know, that digital has no hassle at all😉

I went to Nepal and took 40 rolls of film, including some fast B&W, was a total PITA and at one point had a soldier pointing a gun at my chest as I politely pleaded not to pass what was obviously a roll of 3600 film through an x-ray scanner for the umpteenth time.

Combined with rubbish labs, huge cost, inflexibility I don't miss film one little tiny bit!

I fell for film again for a brief moment, but went back to digital. I love the whole process of shooting with film, but ultimately, the hassle of developing and scanning film put me off. Sold my MP to fund the M11 GP, which I now happily use beside my old M2 (just a few rolls per year).
